Pride Week 2019

During a 2019 visit to the Cooper Union Library, I had the chance to see the work of design greats like Herb Lubalin and Paul Rand. Seeing their process, sketches and finished work firsthand reminded me that great design can start a conversation, open up a mind – maybe even change one.

I left inspired.

The result was an homage vis-a-vis a T-shirt design for Memphis Pride Week. The playful design carved words out of words, created dual meaning and highlighted an important issue to the LGBTQ+ community. It was fun to create and do some good at the same time.
